Hi Wacom, yes, it's me again, let's get a little serious, you have spent more than six months and taken more than 4 updates and hasn't been able to make my Intous Pro work properly in my iMac. Imagine that you buy a car from a company and the car turns off constantly, the radio turns on senseless, and when driving a door opens. Seriously, as a graphic designer I use my tablet every day and the operation of your driver is really frustrating. Again, more than six months and you haven't been able to get a driver that works, really?I went back to update my driver to 6.320.8 and still fails, the click is stuck, drag selections and double click works arbitrarily. You solve one problem but add another, it's like being sick from the stomach, but the pill the doctor give you will relieve the stomach but it will give you headache. Is not acceptable.Model Intous Pro PTH 651/KiMac (27-inch, Late 2013) Mac OS Sierra 10.12.1. Rpm spec vendor.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one frustrated with this issue! I had this same issue on older models (Intuos 3), and only about a month ago, purchased the Intuos Pro. And am running into the very same issues again. The latest driver (6.3.20-11) didn't seem to fix it. The hack about the mouse speed doesn't work either, since the Pro doesn't come with that setting (touch pad, no mouse).I've tried touching base with their contact support but have yet to get through.
Any one with any other luck/ideas? Luckily, my older Intuos 4 is working fine, so I'm able to do work with that, but this is pretty unacceptable. MacOS has a setting for mouse doubleclick speed, but that is only visible, if ever a mouse was attached to the system. This is independant of a tablet: If you go to system preferences and there is no mouse prefrence panel, attach any USB mouse once.
Then that preferences will be shown and can be opened and you can move the mouse doubleclick speed slider to 'fast'. (The setting still exists, if you remove the mouse.)We are sorry that the influence of this hidden setting was not discovered earlier. Setting the doubleclick to fast does help with this problem, but it certainly doesn't solve it. I am still getting random doubleclicks just not quite as many. However this is only a workaround not a solution. Cranking the doubleclick speed up to 'fast' means that I can't actually doubleclick when I want to any more since my finger speed isn't fast enough. Occasionally I get lucky with a random doubleclick, or unlucky with a random quadruple click. When combined with changes to the way the Pen operates that seem to have appeared recently, I am only one or two frustrating session away from retuning to an Apple mouse after years of using a Wacom tablet.Alan.
I agree, this option is a workaround for the problem and it needs to be examined by engineering. However, I am not sure that much can be done about it: the os requires that information to position the screen pointer is passing through the mouse event queue.
Thus mouse settings can have side-effects on other devices controlling the screen pointer. (Since Apple has revamped the mouse handling in Sierra, it has more such side-effects.) - I am not sure that you have to move the slider all the way to 'fast' to avoid the clicking problem. If you are using a mouse, I suggest to try some lower settings.
